The HUMMER EV Pickup changes the game with its next-gen electric propulsion system. In the entry-level 2X trim, you’ll have an electric motor in the front of the vehicle and a second in the rear. The upgraded 3X trim places one electric motor in the front and two in the rear, adding an incredible amount of power.
Both options are DC fast-charging capable and have more than 300 miles of driving range. The EPA estimates that the 2X trim has an equivalent of 53 miles per gallon combined. The highly efficient pickup also comes with electronic 4WD, a standard 20-module battery pack, and steering column paddle shifters mounted to the console for a fun driving experience.
The Brute Strength
With the 2X trim’s double motors, you’ll have 570 horsepower and 7,400 lb.-ft. of torque at your command, giving you plenty of power for passing the slower vehicles on the road. Drivers who select the upgraded 3X trim with the available 24-module battery pack will have up to 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Thrilling Acceleration
Incredible launches come courtesy of the available Watts to Freedom mode. This thrilling feature will lower the vehicle by 2.0 inches using the air suspension. Once a fun launch sequence completes, Watts to Freedom mode will help you go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 3.0 seconds.
The Ability to Adapt
Off-roading enthusiasts love the HUMMER EV Pickup not only for its strength but also for its ability to conquer unique trail conditions. For example, a narrow trail can be expertly navigated with CrabWalk mode. The standard electronic four-wheel steering feature turns the rear wheels in sync with the front wheels, allowing you to drive diagonally at low speeds. This ability provides you with a way to take tight corners and maneuver through trails with precision.
Another exceptional example is extract mode. Activating this setting will cue the adaptive air ride suspension to rise six inches. This is a useful feature to have when you go out fording streams or discover a boulder on the path.
